Default Alternator?

Ok so I need a new alternator, anyone have any recommendations on alternators, I know of PA Performance, should I just stick with a oem (even with all the problems that ford has with them). Just want to hear some thoughts and I don't want to have to replace this one in a couple of months.

Ok seeming to have a hard time finding aftermarket alternators, found oem ones, but don't want to go that route with all the problems.

My alternator went out a few weeks ago - mainly due to my sound system. I would have liked to pick up an aftermarket one from PA Performance, but I didn't know which one to get or what would work for the V6 (they all seem to be for the GT). Anyway, I was short on time, so I just grabbed an OEM one from a dealership and threw that on. I've been keeping the music down, and things have been fine so far. I don't know of any vendors other than PA Performance for aftermarket alternators. I would give them a call and see what they have for the V6.

I believe the mounting brackets are different.

Yeah they mount totally different. The 3-pin electrical connector may be different too, not sure.
