Hopefully it's not the control unit. Good Year charged my wife $335 to replace and install the control unit. Let us know what you find out. Good luck!

I took off the cover from the fuse box inside the car and it seems fine, too bad because i was hoping it was just a fuse

Had the same problem with my jeep to years ago up here in PA, it was freezing without the heat. Had to replace control unit and heater core later in the year as well

Hi All,

Thanks for your help.
I just got news from the dealer that it was fuse #10 5amp in the kickpanel fusebox, i checked # 12 but not #10 , its listed as " intrusion sensing module , climate control" so i didn't think to check it since it said " intrusion" anyway the mechanic said that when he moved the harness it blew the fuse, but that now its working fine but he does not know for how long. He said he's have to take everything apart to further diagnose where the short is from so i told him to leave it like that, I figure if it blows again I know where to check and at least now I know there is a short somewhere. they charge 99.00 per hour! I'm sure its at least an hour's work. Anyway this sucks bigtime, i kick myself for not checking #10 since i told myself to check everything that relates to heating. I guess i'll go pay my 100+ plus bill for a !@#!en fuse. Come to think about it, the mechanic should have checked the fuses and relays first.

Cheers
