Post WOT fuel/MAF curve settings

Not to long ago I installed cold air intake and magnaflow catback exhaust. Now my car is producing a back firing sound after I initially start the car and rev it up. I am running 87 octane and have changed my fuel setting and MAF curve to 5% it's not as bad but it still makes the noise. I am trying to figure out if I am doing something wrong or if I need to keep adjusting.

You need to get a professionally written tune for your intake or datalog and have a qualified tuner adjust the current tune to correct the problem.

+1

What brand/model CAI and whose tunes are you running (or ARE you running a custom tune)? Most CAI's worth a darn require a re-tune to make any useful power and those CAI's that don't require a re-tune may still throw a CEL for running lean.

Check out the AM and Brenspeed websites.

This is why I don't buy used Mustangs unless it was a dealership demo model.

all the 4.0`s kinda do that popping thing coming off a rev, its just the nature of the beast. just quit revving it up high in park or neutral, its not good for the engine anyway.
