Red face Need subwoofers for '09 convertible

Hi there: first off, I am brand freshly new to the forum and this is my first post, so secondly I hope I'm not insulting or ticking anyone off if I'm posting in the wrong spot. My initial impression is the forum is very confusing to use. Maybe it's because I'm thick - or older! Anyway...
My '09 convertible just came out of the body shop - 76 year old man went through a stop sign and crushed in the right front wheel and associated surroundings. Whilst in the shop I asked them to check the speakers since they had been distorting, and they found both subwoofers are blown. Ford dealers want ~$300 each for new ones, online cheapest I've found is ~$249, and none of the junkyards around here in Long Island, New York have 'em. Anyone know where I can get them less expensively or if someone on the forum might have 'em for sale? (Again, apologies if this is the wrong place to post "wants/looking for sale" messages. I'd appreciate a pointer to the correct place if it is.)
And yes, I've been told I'm verbose, so sorry for being so wordy... Thx all!

I believe Kicker makes a shallow mount sub that will fit.

These are made for the mustang from kicker. 149 for the pair and sound better than stock. I have them in my 09 Stang. http://www.shelbystore.com/product-p/ka-8-woofer.htm

Same Shelby/Kicker subs just a little cheaper.

Hi All - thanks for all your info and wishes. The Kickers look like they'll do the trick alright. This might seem kind of silly, but can the stock speaker grilles be used with these replacements? My body shop said they'll do the install for free. I kinda want to keep the "stock look", purple fuzzy dice notwithstanding! <;=}

The come with a large replacement grill that will accomodate the larger woofers. You can see it in the pics. Not sure if they are black in color by default, but Im sure they are. I have heard that the Kickers have a little less bass but still sound great. I plan on doing the entire shelby/kicker system upgrade in the near future.

i replaced the stock speakers with Memphis 8's. after hearing the Memphis speakers, its like i didn't have speakers at all before them. They are Mid-Woofers, so they add kick to the bass drum but not the low frequencies the the subs in the trunk take care of.

i did have to make a custom 3/4" ring to fit them in the door as they are deeper than stock. I know the OP wont be interested in them, but anyone who is reading this thread and wants some serious sound.... check em out.

If I remember right the stock grills are part of the speaker housing,not removable.
