Anyone put theselong tube pacesetter headers on their V6 yet? wanna know how hard it was, any problems you've encountered (fitment, hitting the car), sound, performance? Any help would be awesome.

I know that the GT's respond mildly well to LT's but they need a tune to turn off the rear O2's. I assume it's the same for the V6.

i have a mac prochamber ready to go on it and was debating on long's or shorts...i was thinking longs so i don't have to get more pipe to take my cats off and i could hook almost directly to the LT's

If the cats are going, then you'll definately need a tune for the O2's and, if you're removing the cats for performance, just a good custom tune alone will net you double or triple the gain what dumping the cats will. Also, watch out for losing too much back pressure. She'll be a real dog in the lower RPM range.

yes i have a perfomrnace shop gthat's going to tune it up. I am hoping the prochamber gives it enough back pressure plus the magnaflow mufflers.

LTs on a n/a v6 wont get you any power, or a couple hp at most.
I ran MAC LTs, but had a blower as well. Even with that setup and high-flow cats, it didnt help much.

I don't see why you would need long tubes unless you want to enhance the gain from adding a cam or a supercharger for better breathing and max gains.

As for the person asking about shorties. You wont get any power gains from them either.

ok no power gians from either. I want long tube so i can do away with most of the orginal exhaust and basically run it straight into the prochamber. Also i do hope to be supercharging it in the future so migt as well get stuff done now that i can.
