check to see if one of the wires is not snapped down tight at the coil pack and is shorting out.

Well now that's scary. You must have the wrong plugs. Sounds like they are too long for your application and the piston is coming up and smacking the tips. This is not good to say the least. check the part # vs the application ASAP.

What do you mean by smashed in then? The gap seems smaller then when you set it or the ground strap is pushed up against the electrode?

this is happening to all the plugs so I can only say they are not the correct plugs. You said you checked p/n but its not clear if you replaced with the same part #. Post a side by side pic if you can and check the length again. Measure from where they seat to the head down to how far they extend into the combustion chamber.

With your mods listed in the sig the only explanation is that you have the wrong plugs. Like jimkaray said, measure the thread length because a stock plug shouldn't stick far enough in that the electrode and ground strap are getting smashed together.

Also, make sure when you get it back together that you have the firing order correct on the 4 - 5 - 6. It doesn't go in order like the 1 -2 -3; it is 5 - 6 - 4 on the coil.
