Default diff leak

I had 3.73 gears installed about a year and a half ago and what I should have noticed sooner was the drips in my garage (the guy before me had an old truck with a lot of leaks)

Anyway thanks to the sticky in the 4.6 section I was able to service it myself. The thread has pics + lots of helpful info.

What I did notice once I got into it was that the cover bolts were just like finger tight!!! I probably could have just tightened the bolts, but I didn't know exactly what gear oil was in there to just refill and it was probably better to just change out the gear oil anyway.

Just wanted to give a heads up on my exp after a gear change.

I was also happy I didn't find any metal bits in the oil and the gears look fine.
