Well i bought jumper cables from orielys and first tried to jump my car and failed because the cables started smoking. apparently orielys said it must have been bad cables. so i brought the battery in with me and they tested it for me. they said that the battery was dieing. i forgot the start up voltage was. I bought the battery a year and half ago from walmart (big mistake). It was to close to closing time for them to give it a charge so i am going to wait till tomorrow to try charging it if that fails i'm going to buy a new battery.

They said if i take off the alternator they'll test it for me. Does anyone know of a good place to buy a aftermarket alternator?

If you take your car to Autozone, they can check your battery and alternator. You can also check with them regarding the price of a new alternator.

Be sure to turn the radio off before turning off the ignition. If you have one of the Shaker audio systems, they'll drain your battery. The amp doesn't shut off on some models.

I'm suspicious of your alternator. Even with a battery gone **** up, the alternator SHOULD have been able to maintain spark and enough power for most everything else unless you have some kick-azz amps.

Well the battery made it sound stronger. much stronger. did not get it started though. So now i'm back to ground zero. Could this be a computer program? Fuel Pump? Or Spark Plugs?

Sorry to hear you are still experiencing issues. A clogged fuel pump/fuel line or damaged spark plug would also cause the car to not start and/or stall out. Have you changed or cleaned the air filter lately?
