I recently purchased a set of Ebay shorty headers for 120 installed them my self in my 05 4.0 took me a while considering my lack of skill. Sound is considerably deeper. Performance .. not as much of a gain I read somewhere around 5rwh. The ebay headers were identical to the headers made by pypes I measured thoroughly and found no difference.

Problem is that E-bay Headers and PYPES are not CARB legal. Just because it looks just like a JBA shorty does not mean you will pass visual. I already went through this with a set of BBK's I had. "Not fun"

i have ebay shorties, love em. the jba are real nice, you`ll just have to pay to play. that must suck being in cal, seems like you cant do anything. the guys with any real mods must really jump through hoops to keep driving.

Yep, like in Florida... wait, we don't have emissions tests...

I've got pypes shorties. No gain (at least from what I can feel) but they do clear up some raspiness in the exhaust at higher rpms. Maybe a little different exhaust tone, but not substantial.

most difference i felt with my shorties was better low-end performance. sound is slightly improved to a bit more aggressive note. not a major difference but enough to notice.

they were absolutely worth it for me since i found a discounted pair. bang for buck is all dependent on how much you end up paying.
