Default tuner

I have looked around and hear all good thing about tuners for the 4.0L auto cars .. do the manual cars see much difference ?

I was told the manual cars run different tuning and they are much more aggressive then the autos tuning stock, so the tuners don't help the manual cars much

I emailed bama with the same question and they have not replied back its been over a week

My tuner + CAI combo was the best mod I did to my car.
You shouldn't be disappointed.

05screaminyellow,

There are some different options when it comes to tuning between the two transmissions. However I wouldn't say that the Auto benefits anymore power wise then the manual.

Your six will benefit greatly from our Bama tune. I'm confident that you will not be disappointed!

A huge plus to ordering the Bama Tuner is, you are automatically enrolled in our Free Tunes For Life program. So whenever you add a new modification, all you have to do is hit us up & we will email you a revised file!

I hope this helps! Hit me up if you have any further questions!

+1 to wut Dan sez....

Whilst I procured my SCT through Justin at VMP, I can say without hesitation... and I've owned both auto trans (2004 3.9l V6) and manual trans (current ride) cars, the difference is downright startling. Even moreso on the 4.0l. First time I flashed mine for 93 Octane my initial thoughts were.... gad... it's a BEAST.

GO for it. You'll be glad you did!

The only major difference a tune makes on an auto as opposed to a manual is change the shift points but with your manual, YOU are in control of that and can do more with the engine than the auto allows. Otherwise, you'll feel the power difference and a reduction in throttle lag that you may not have even noticed before.

The install should go smoothly. In '07, the instructions with my Steeda were a bit poor but I managed to figure it out. And loading the tune was the easiest, if not nervewracking, part since it was the first time I used the tuner. Just be sure when you load the tune, all accessories are off (fan, radio, lights, etc.), the car's battery isn't discharged more than normal, plug it in, close the door and follow the prompts.

Also, I always recommend that you take the car for a "very spirited" ride stock immediatley before the install, then start out with the lower octane tunes first and repeat the drive for each tune. You'll get a feel of how each one has its own "personality". And it's not a problem running the custom 87 tune on higher octane.

On my 2010 there was a night/day difference from stock to CAI and tune. Actually felt fast! I have yet to add these mods to The 5.0, Saving for fully forged motor and blower, and dyno tuned. Go with BAMA and AM! You will not be sorry
