V6 Dual exhaust installation
Just to be sure I get the right clamps I want to know what you used where the x-pipe meets the down pipe with the cats. I found a dynomax manual showing that the x-pipe should use 2 1/4" there and 2 1/2" where the
You have to cut the y pipe on your original exhaust, (allow enough extra pipe to make sure you get a good seal when you cut it) but you have to do that will all the add on systems. Remember, Measure twice, cut once. You don't need an expensive mistake.
I used the 2 regular clamps on the clamping to the header pipes and the band clamps where the intermediate pipes hook to the xpipe.

I found a dynomax installation guide for the X-Pipe you recommended to use for the conversion. It specifies that where the downpipe\catalytic converters meet the X-Pipe to use 2 1/4" band clamps. You say that 2 1/2" worked fine for you?

Sorry to no get back. Been ill. You are right. Follow the sheet from Dynamax. Remember I did this earlier so my memory may not be 100%. Enjoy your new exhaust. I did and still enjoy the nice rumble.
