BEEPER AT 75 MPH
I too have the annoying beeper when getting close to 75 MPH. I don't mind the reverse or trunk open beeper, but this one is driving me crazy. Is there any way to stop or shut off this function? I have gone through th Ford technical manyal and owner's manual to no avail. I want the rest of the functions to stay on. Anybody got any ideas other than ripping the beeper out of the dash?

My '06 does not do that. I was curious so I looked around and found that a number of people have complained about beeping in reverse and at high speed. In every case I found, it occurred following an instrument cluster replacement by Ford. I'm guessing yours was replaced by the prior owner. I did not find any solutions to the problem and my guess would be that your only hope for a solution lies with Ford.

Bitter's comment above may hold water (no pun intended considering the TSB issue on these S197's relating to water leaks) since the '05's and early '06's had stepper motor issues in the instrument cluster which required cluster rework/replacement.
Lets not forget he BBK TB is right up there with the TB spacer...

Lets assume that the instrument cluster has been replaced.
If the correct as-built data is not properly loaded into the
replacement cluster, all sorts of weird things can happen.
I would also suspect the wet SJB syndrome.

Thanks for the info so far, but the TB & TB spacer have nothing to do with it. I beeped the same before I put the TB & TB spacer and the cold air sucker system, and after tuning, yes it did make a difference in performance. Next is the 4:11 rear and supercharger. Besides, my 98' GT is the fast one.
I don't think Nuke was suggesting that your TB spacer has anything to do with the beeping. If you search around the forum, I think you'll find that quite a few people believe that a TB spacer is a pricey mod that offers no real benefit.
I remain convinced that your cluster was replaced, and whoever did it did not transfer the data from your old one to the new one. I would think that would also include setting the correct odometer reading, but I can't be sure of that since I don't know if that information is captured in the cluster or elsewhere.
My guess is the beeping is a safety feature that was the default on the clusters but Ford disabled it at the factory because even they found it too annoying.
