has/is anyone running one of these kits? I have seen a few complete kits on ebay for the 5.0 (twin turbo) intercooler and all for around 8 to 9 hundred bucks, even if they would have to be rebuilt within a few years that price is tempting......anyone running an ebay turbo on the 4.0?

 

You get what you pay for. If you want a decent blower, be prepared to spend $4,000 and probably more for a Vortech or Procharger. I don't have one in my '06, but I paid over $4,000 for a Procharger in my '68 including the blow thru carb, hat, piping and CAI.

 

+1. A properly-fabbed and easy-to-fit kit takes a lot of time and money to develop. They are not cheap.

 

All you get is a "box of parts" - and usually not the hot side. So there is still a lot of fabrication to do, in addition to a cheap turbo. Then you have to determine what else you will need, the proper size injectors, etc. It isn't a complete ready to assemble kit that has been tested and proven.

 

Just say no to the China chargers! I have heard good things about the On3 performance turbo kit which is fairly cheap. (I think that is what it is called)
