Default Throttle Positioner Connector

So my daughter's '08 developed the dreaded coolant leak and I replaced the thermostat housing. The wire loom to the throttle positioner was heat cracked and when I pushed on the connector release it cracked and broke off. I've used a small zip to temporarily hold it in place and ordered a pigtail from Napa (the dealer was unable to help me with this part). Anyone else had this experience? I was hoping to use a pin tool and just switch the pins into the new connector but this connector is not designed so that the pins can be removed. I'm debating leaving the zip tie vs soldering in the new pig tail. Thoughts? Thanks all.

I'm not sure if the V6 and GT have the same TPS connector, but the one on the GTs can be depinned. See page 17 of this PDF: http://1.cdn.lib.americanmuscle.com/...gt-install.pdf

That happened to me as well, I just soldered the new pigtail on and used heatshrink wrap to tidy up.
