Over heating problem. Really need some suggestions.
So this is going to be a long one, but this is what happened and what I’ve done.
Started running hot on the interstate, changed the thermostat first since housing isn’t leaking.. didn’t fix it. Then noticed my fan wasn’t kicking on even when I turned my ac on. At idle with out ac on it didn’t over heat, soon as I turn the ac on it would start over heating.
Read to unplug the temperture sensor on top of the thermostat housing. Did that and the fan kicked on instantly. So, changed the temperture sensor. Problem solved right ? For about 20 minutes.
Made it to my exit, stopped at gas station shutting off the car. Didn’t run hot at all, fan stayed on from what I could tell. Turned car back on and it started running hot before I even pulled out.
Home now, the fan won’t turn on with the ac on EVEN IF the temperture sensor is unplugged.
Suggestions please ? Also feel free to ask questions.

rock auto sells that plug.
I've used some like that before, but I've found Ford plugs can be disassembled. You should be able to use a small jewelers flathead screwdriver and put it in the plug and push a little tab on each of the metal connectors, they'll then back out of that plug and you can use the Rock Auto one to put the wires back into it.
Or you can cut the wires, solder them and you're still just as good. Depends on how much space you have to work with.
Glad you found it!!

Switched the relays around, didn’t help. And I could of just ordered the plug but the prong on the fan motor was badly burned up too so I just bought the fan assembly. Car is pushing 170000 so it needed it anyway.
