Default Lost Most Electrical

2005 V6 Convertible with about 118,500 miles. Runs great all the time, no oil usage, all good. Today, driving it and for the first hour all was perfect and then right before home, gauges all went dead with the exception of the Speedo and RPM and all my warning messages popped up and cycled through them. No headlights, no power to the radio, no door locks, nothing, but the engine was still running fine, wipers worked, etc. Now, I just drove through a big rain storm so maybe that was the trigger but even when it dries off I need to know where to look for repair. Any ideas? Questions that might help make it more clear?

Check the passenger side floor board and see if it is wet. Sounds like your cowl drains are plugged and the SJB took on some water. Pull the right side kick panel disconnect the battery then remove the connectors and look for moisture. I would pull the whole box out so you can inspect the other side also. If you see any green tint on the black box or connectors that is the telltale sign that the terminals are oxidizing. You can open up the box to inspect and dry out the board. Put it back together and cross your fingers.

Thanks. Saw that in another thread after I posted. No dampness no the passenger side carpet but when I pulled the panel off there was definitely moisture. Disconnected it and some water on the inside. Letting it dry out now. If it works, just need to find a way to prevent it from happening again. Appreciate your response and yes, fingers are definitely crossed!
