Superchips ???

RE: Superchips ???
I had looked into it for the claimed ability to correct for gear ratio or tire diameters. I found out that you can only change these values on '99 and newer Stangs. So I did not persue. But they do offer a 30 day trial - if you don't like it you can return. Just remember that you in essence are swapping the Maps. If you load the High Perf map, your existing factory map goes into the Tuner. If for some reason the car goes into the dealer and they upgrade the computer due to emissions or updates etc. you will lose the program and it is no longer in your "tuner" so it will have to go back to Superchips for reprogramming.

1st it connects and downloads the stock program
2nd it asks a number of questions that are either yes/no or A/B ...simple.
JUST REMEMBER TO REMOVE YOUR FUEL PUMP FUSE!!!
Took it out afterwards and I noticed a definite seat of the pants gain in HP. I also noticed that it shifted alot better ( immediate without hesitation) and that I could red line it (yes it's an auto) very easily. I would say that from what I got, it isn't the best mod for the money, but that you'll be pleased.

RE: Superchips ???
I'm getting a superchip microtuner for my 03...it should be here sometime this week. I'm getting it to correct for the 4.10 gears that I am getting. I have a friend who uses one in our car club and he recommended it to me...
He uses the tuner, and drag radials in his mustang. He has flowmasters, and ripped out the rubber straw in his intake. He last ran a 13.724 @ 101 mph in the quarter mile...that's pretty impressive since when my gt was stock I couldn't get lower than a 14.2...
It does "marry" itself to the vehicle, so you can't use it on your friends...but if I were to take it into the dealer for repairs, I'd take off the settings anyway...it's not hard, only takes 5 minutes once you know it.
