Default radiator cap

im looking around at engine dress up stuff and i found a billet radiator cap that would go good w/ my steeda cai and my air silencer plug. Ive been told the radiator fluid has pressure or something and if i unscrew the cap it will spill out or something. is this true? is it ok for me to take the cap off to switch it with a billet one? thanks, sorry for dumb question

Yes its under pressure after driving. Let car sit for about 20 mins after driving then take the cap off. You can also squeeze the upper radiator hose and see when the pressure goes down.
