well you can still have them rebuild it, which is what i would do.. because the t-45 is t-5 based so its a POS, just rebuild the 3650 and be done with it

Everyone bashes the T45 but its funny that I see posts like everyday about someone having problems with their TR3650....anyway, my vote is for a TKO500, probably cheaper hten buying a T45 and rebuilding it....

I might purchase a T-45 and have it built....

So a t-45 out of a 2000 Gt will bolt right up with no problems??? Also what about the speedo and everything? Just checking

By the time you do all that it will cost more money than just buying a 500, and you will still have a weaker transmission.

Trust me, if you do any beating at all on the car the 45 is not the way to go. ONE screwed up powershift, or even missed shift, and you are on your way to ruining a gear.

I think you are gonna have a hard time finding someone to "build" a t-45. I saw something in MM&FF about a company making them a bit better than stock, but it's definatly not worth it if you have to buy the transmission before you get it rebuilt. I paid 700 I think for a used/rebuilt t45, and that was before shipping. My TKO was like 1700 or so.
