Default Tuner question?

I'm getting a tuner soon and I was wondering what one I should get... and after that I need to know what to set the everything at as far as the rev limiter and the mixture and stuff so I get peak performance.... I don't know anything about these things and I'm afraid if I don't get exactly what I need to set things at my car will launch a piston in my left eye :-(

SCT X-Cal2. Keep your rev limiter where it is if you're stock. Your max HP is in the 55-5700 range.

I have headers a cat-back magnaflow air intake U/D pulleys and 4.10's... so just any shift points I should set (I'm auto).... and should I put a rev limiter on it with these? I have no idea what to expect when I get the tuner as far as what to set? some tuners ask you questions I heard but I also heard they aren't as accurate... I was thinking about predator because it looks like you can mess with your mixture and it said nothing about that with other tuners...
