Default X Pipe Question

I'm thinking about buying an SLP off road x pipe. Do i need to get the MIL eliminators? Or is it fine without them?

YES any O/R pipe requires mils unless you can rig something up to fool the O2 sensor. Look around on here there are tons of posts about this question and ways to get around buying the eliminators. I would just buy the mils. get them from ebay

Mils suck. Get a tuner. Little more $$$ but well worth it as you add more mods to your car.

Tuners cost a few hundred 300-400. Mils cost $50. I got mine on ebay over 2 years ago and never had a problem. Mine plug into the O2's not the cheap ones you wire in.

sorry to hijack this thread, but my mil light has been on for about 2 months now. codes are coming up saying the car is running lean and the rear o2 sensors are shot. i know the mil eliminator will get rid of the o2 codes, but would these codes cause my car to be running lean?

yea I have a pro-chamber right now. i'm about to get a bassani off-road x-pipe and finally order the mil eliminators that i've been putting off. all i really want to know is if my mil light being on because of the rear o2 sensors is causing my engine to run lean.

you're technically fine without them, but if you don't want the CEL on all the time, then you should get them.

If your O2's are bad the mils will do no good. Or so I believe. I had a check engine light on until I put a new rear O2 in and then it was fine.
