i just had the same thing happen to me in my 97,,blew the eec/fuel pump fuse..pump would not kick on ..so i thought it was the pump..figured out it wasnt the pump..turns out it might be the electronic engine computer..im waiting on the part to see if that fixes the problem.but look into that

everyone says dealerships suck......but frankly i've had nothing but excellent service at both of the dealerships that i've used here in PA.

i go to one for parts and i go to another for service.....but only because the one i go to for parts will not work with my aftermarket warranty.

the only bad experience i've ever had with a dealership was in michigan....i went to brighton ford (pretty humongous) to go into their parts store with my old 88gt vert.......i left the top down because i was at a dealership and i figured i'd just be in an out.

i come back outside and a bunch of car dealers and mechanics are throwing the football that was in my back seat around......i was dumbfounded. i just started yelling and they tossed me the ball and all ran inside.

It was not the cut off or the fuse. I checked those. As for the mods I have, CAI, 4.10 gears, h-pipe and slp lmII's, and SCT tune from MD motorsports. I put the left fender in a tree december and got it back in january. It has ran fine up until yesterday.

The tune is probably going to void your warranty, the dealership will not like that, at all.

Why are you so sure it's a fuel pump issue? They usually don't just suddenly die, they slowly die.

Have your tried the IAC? Does the car run anymore?

the iac shouldn't make his car die as he's cruising down the highway though.

If you open the gas cap and turn on the key you can usually hear the fuel pump through the tank. I even tried cranking it while we listened and you can not hear it running.
