I was wondering does anyone have this performance pac? Slp says they guarantee you'll make 330 horsepower with your 1999-04 mustang gt. In the pac their is a DiabloSport programmer, underdrive pulley set, high-flow air filter, 160 degree thermostat, long-tube headers, loudmouth catback, and x pipe with or without high-flow cats. I find it hard to believe that this will give you 330hp. And if it does it must be at the crank not at the wheels.

 

when company's say how much hp gains you will get, they test it on a car that in perfect conditions and a lot of times the car already has some mods done to it

 

I think that it would be a streach to get 330 Hp out of the parts that you listed, but that would have to defently be at the flyweel and not at the rear weels. Even then I think that 330 at the flyweel is still a little high.

 

ya its gonna be like 315-320 at the crank.
one guy on here has this kit he likes it and recommend it a lot. i dont know his username so cant help ya...

 

i can see you hitting 320-330 at the flywheel with that package, as long as it was tuned to perfection, and everything on the car is in good working order.

 

I agree, at the crank yes....But to go from 265 to 330rwhp......That's not gonna happen at the wheels. If so EVERYONE would have that kit. Not an insult to SLP, but that's just crazy. This was probably perfromed on a car with a little more bolt ons with this kit. Anytime you add more to what you have you get even more performance out of your previous mods, so the hp kinda adds up and gives a skewed actual hp gain.

 

That slp package is for the new mustang not our 99-04

+1 I saw that guy as well on a post a while back and if im not mistaken he said that he gained 320 hp so its pretty darn close to the mark.

 

Slp has two pacs for the 05-06 mustang one is 350hp and one is 330hp. The one for the 99-04 is 330hp. This is word for word from the catalog they sent me

"SLP has an easy bolt-on way to make more power from your 1999-04 SOHC Mustang GT. With our exhaust components, pulley, air filter, thermostat and the DiabloSport Predator, we guarantee you'll make 330 housepower."

How can they guarantee it if the car is not stock? They don't say anywhere that you have to swap heads or supercharge the car first.
