ORIGINAL: DarkShadowGT03

A bit on the steep side there eh? Hoepefully they'll pack a punch like ed said. How much do springs usually run? I have no idea, so it could be a good deal lol.

Mustang tuning has them on sale for $179 right now.

The nice thing was was that ed asked everything that i had done to it and what i plan on doing to it in the future and designed something specifically for my set up.

Spend your money on a used whipple charger. More horsepower and you'll like the sound!!
There out there.

weird everything I was told about my macs has been false.

cant install a clutch with out loosening headers=false
ceramic coating is junk and will flake=false
pain to intall will not fit properly=false
makes less power=false

Ive had them for 12,000 miles here they are, I cant imagine them flaking slag unless they were only hts coated, ceramic coating they have to beed blast them first so there is no slag at all.

cams for a 4v is not worth it. Lots of cash, not many people know how to properly install or tune them, and I don't think your gonna get anything close to 30 RWHP out of them with a stock or nearly stock car (LTs and full exhaust will be a must).

Plus, most of the cams I have seen in 4v cars are really agressive to start making more power. Most of the dynos I have seen stole alot of power down low. However, I might have just seen improperly setup ones.

4v cams can deffinantly make 30hp.........there was a camed 4v at the dyno when I went he gained more than that on a 98. He did have longtube previously installed though. Remeber the 4v heads flow tons more than ours and are extremely effecient.

Like everyone has said- It is pretty darn expensive to purchase and install cams on the DOHCs. not to say that there arn't good kits out there though. The FR500s are awesome all around cams, as are the Crower stage 2s. There are also crower stage 1-3, comp cams 1-3, SHM, and a variety of others. In the end your looking at over 2K for 25-40rwhp so most people opt to go the power adder route instead.
