most any shop can do it...it should bring you up to power with the 99-04 gt's. Depending on how much money you have, you could pick up a 99/00 model. You can find 99/00 gt's for as little as 7-8k, which is about (if not less than) what youll have into a 96-98 gt if you do a PI swap.
