I have a 98 Automatic GT, how can I make it faster since I dont have a manual transmission. Right now it pushes about 240 HP. What can I do ?

What kind of question is that....there is alot that you can do.

Exhaust, gears, redo the air box, TB, plenum, pullies, adjust timing, headers, cam....blah, blah, blah.

things have been done to it, the owner before me put mufflers on it, put in some type of chip, and I added a K&N filter. and also, what type of muffler makes the best rumble sound ? I'm a n00b to the Mustang Mod world.

If you want performance, get a Magnaflow X-pipe and Magnaflow cat-back. If you just want the sound, go with a performance H-pipe and flowmasters or spintechs.

To me, I want performance and sound for the $$$. I love my Magnas. Stoped and got gas tonight and a guy told me my exhaust sounded real mean, he was complementing me up and down...makes you feel good

do the magnaflows have a loud bark ? I know flowmasters bark, but I want to have the power and bark.

Well since is it is auto, first i would do is gears, 3.73 or 4.10, than complete exhaust systm, CAI, u already gonna see a difference.
I forgot to add my favorite sound is the Saleen sound, they dont rumble much but they sound nice.

The K&N & chip gave you no HP, so you aren't pushing 240hp.

Magnaflows are louder and have much more 'bark'. No drone either...

well, I'm pretty sure that the car pushes 240hp, when I got the car from the guy, he showed me papers from the dyno. Either he made the papers or he got the guy to trick the machine or something. Either way, last night I went against a 5.0 with a full exhaust system and a K&N intake and I killed him.

You need 4.10 gears and either Borla or Magnaflow O/R x pipe and catback......Since you have a automatic you need 4.10's. You will love it........[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]
