Know that stock the T/B doesnt really make that much more HP. I went with a 70 MM because I have heard that the 75 really cuts down on the airflow speed, and while it can improve peak HP it decreases HP over other parts of the band. We are only talking like 1 hp or so here.

MM&FF did a dyno, the T/B only gave em an extra 3 RWHP (75mm). If you dont plan on future mods, I would almost save my money for a set of underdrives or something. However 3 hp is still 3 hp, and it makes for a nice clean look and a pretty smooth inlet.

Are you talking the one with the chip??????????

The last ones on that page are something simular to the C&L kit, but I went with C&L...I wanted something dyno tested

We're talking the 75mm TB and plenum combo. C&L dynoed and said that is the best combo for THEIR setup. You can do the 70mm, but you won't get every inch of power that you could have

With a straight bore you'll never get the power you should have....

is there much of a difference between the 70mm and 75mm t/b besides the 5mm? i was told that running a 75mm will make my car run lean. is that true? i plan to keep the car na for now but am adding nitrous within the next few months

I dont see how your car could run lean, the MAM should take care of that. I dont think there is much difference between the 70 and 75, but I have heard several reports that say that a 75 increases peak HP, but decreases it over the entire engine band as well.

Remeber we are only talking a few HP here, like 2-3. Probably not even that much. According the the dyno results I saw, changing the stock T/B out for a 75 MM accufab only resulted in like 3rwhp increase. I would guess the 70 cant be that much less. The people that stated the 75 was to big were saying it decreases the airflow velocity. Not sure howmuch bs/truth there is to this, so I just went for the middle road with the 70mm.

At any rate, probably no matter what you do, you wont notice a T/B change seat of the pants style.

when you say 75 will add peak HP but not through out the entire band... what exactly do you mean, and what would someone rather go with... 70 or 75, i mean wouldnt 75mm make the car faster than 70mm would regardless

No, then your messing with the fuel/air ratio. You can pump more air in without more fuel. Check the C&L site they recommend the 75mm TB with their plenum, they said they wouldn't recommend it without using their plenum. Go with their evidence from the dyno!
