Anyone in Tennessee w/3.73's or 4.10's?
Hey guys........I've been going in circles trying to decide whether I want 3.73's or 4.10's for my '02 GT. It is a daily driver, 5-speed, Flowmaster exhaust w/70000 miles. I figure that it is best that I drive a stang that has these installed so that I can get an idea of which will feel better and be most comfortable to me. Is there anyone in the Nashville, Tn area that I could hook up with to check this out? I live in Cookeville but can drive anywhere reasonable. I just want to figure out which one I will like better. Thanks!!!!!

4.10s!
4.10s!
Well, ****, this is gonna get real opiniated real quick. But let me just tell you a few things, since I have both. I love the 3.73s in my 04, but sometimes wish they had more pull(thinkin maybe 3.90s would have been perfect for me). And I hate the 4.10s in my 88gt. 1st gear is worthless, wet roads are hell. I think you are going about it the right way, by trying to find what is most comfortable to you. Don't listen to what every other person on this board says. Do what feels right to you, because you are the one who has to drive it. Especially a daily driver.

there are different feels to those cars and going with a 4.10 in a 5.0 is (from what ive been told) not the best choice
when i was deciding, i worried that 4.10 gears were too steep, and i'd lose first, and my mileage would die, and blah blah blah,,
its more fun to drive, it feels quicker, and its fun to tell people who got 3.73's in their 4.6 they are tools!
haha, mikes a tool!

I'm still right, regardless. He needs to get what he feels comfortable with, and not what everyone else likes. I am half tempted to put 4.10s in my 04, just so I can switch them back to 3.73s or 3.90s then I can be like an expert too. (like all you guys)
By the way...Clint....you are so off my buddy list, sister.
