Default Firewall Adjuster

I have a steeda Adjustable cable, with a Steeda firewall adjuster. The Firewall adjuster just does not seem to hold an adjustment for that long. Is seems just to loosen up.
The set screw is tight, but just seems it just wallows a spot in the plastic, and loosens up.

Is there a better firewall adjuster out there.
Or is it just to get rid of the firewall adjuster or just put some lock tight on the adjuster and screw it into the firewall(where the firewall adjuster is just there, and not causing a problem. Then do the clutch adjustment from under the car.

Omg, seriously....I have to readjust mine all the time and I wasn't sure exactly what was causing it, but I am going to assume its the same thing you're having problems with!

According to the install instructions... "If you loose the set screw, a small dab of silicone gasket maker on the threads will keep the Cable Adjuster from vicbrating loose." I am going to try that and hope it fuking works. I'm also going to check the cable under the car where it connects to the (whatever the arm is called that connects to the TOB) and make sure that is not coming loose.

I havent thought of trying the gasket maker. I might have to try it and see how it works. But dont think its going to help, might be wrong. So its worth a try.

I will talk to the guy at one of the peformance shops here in town that installed the clutch cable for me and see what he thinks. I think almost anything is better than what we have now though. lol

I just bought the Steeda kit that includes there new Firewall adjuster.......The new one has a set screw simular to the UPR one..........

Has anyone had any problems with it yet? I have not installed the kit yet and if I need to buy a different adjuster I would do it now before the install........

Kit I bought

just the adjuster
