Default HID Headlights. Any difference?

I was wondering if anybody had HID lights on their car and if it made any difference. Please state your color temperature and if you would recommend them.
Also, I beleive you lose your high/low option. Is that true? I know nothing about HID's.

i have 4500 HID's high/low beam options

If you wanna spend a butt load to get the high/low beam option go for it.....

mine r ok but if i had to do it again id get different housings and go with projector housings the stock housing in my opinion scatter the light to much

Do you know the reason you can't have high beams? Is it because our high/low are two bulbs? And if it is, is it possible to rewire the lights somehow so that when you hit the highs, the lows also stay on. or just get two sets of HIDs (expensive, I know). I have projecters on my 02 gt, but it bugs the hell out of me when I hit my highs, because then the projecter lows (which are the only ones projected) turn off. Anybody know of a fix? Thanks

the reason people dont do the high beams is:

1. They are expensive to get the high beam option
2. Most people see ALOT more with low beams HIDS and find no need for high beams
3. High beam's are fairly new for HIDS for our cars

LIke i said i have the high/low beam kit and it cost me about 500 bucks

in the stock bulbs the high beams are just a nother filiment, or however you spell it. the high beams suck in our cars, they just raise the level of light so you can see alot farther, but then you cant see 100ft in front of the car cuz theres no light there.

well ****... I guess that means I need to go and look and see what kinda lights I've got on mine, cuz I definetly have two lights... Hey Tac2Cal, sorry bout the lag time on my message... so in your opinion, I should just go with the HIDs in my projector, and just plug the other bulb hole... or do something else with it??

This is what I've got. Ok... and so the highs are H3, and the lows are H1... now If I buy HIDs will I have to get two kits??, If I want both lights light at once, and do you know of anywhere where I can find a workaround? Also... I'm looking for LED bulbs for the stock fog lights... do you know of anywhere where I can find them... I've looked on www.autolumination.com, and they have just about every possible LED lights for cars except headlights (of course) and fog lamp replacements. Thanks
