Default Midpipe / Header question

I'm thinkin about getting a o/r prochamber and changing it back to stock whenever i have to go pass emmissions.
So, I was wondering how hard it is to change midpipes and if I would be able to do little car experience.

And also, if i get long tube headers will i always fail emissoins even if i have a catted midpipe.

also, is chaning it back and forth even worth it? is there a noticble diffrence in power and sound with a high flow catted and o/r prochamber?

oh ya and is there anyway to use the OEM mid pipe with long tubes? just temporarily?

your stock midpipe wont fit with your longtubes. your gonn ahave to cut it. if they inspect under the car and know what to look for and see that the headers arnt aproved then you wont pass.

in missouri they plug the car into there computer and check to see if there has been a recent emmissions failure...service engine soon light. the way around it is if you plug the o2 sensor in without cats your car will immediately kick the service engine soon light on due to the fact that the emmissions are too high. if you buy mil's it tricks the computer to thinking it is running clean therefore not kicking on the ses light. which in turn will not **** off the emmissions station computer which will keep them from actually testing your vehicle. which by the way it will fail...real fast. mil's cost me about $62 for a pair and they are made by steeda. I just did my bbk o/r h pipe this past weekend and it took my buddy and I about 1 1/2 hours. it was easy but it did require jacking up the engine to get to the manifold bolts...i recommend ramps and a hydraulic jack for this. as fas as the sound goes HOLY CRAP IT SOUNDS GOOD, especially with 40 series flow's even though I have stock manifolds

good luck

just get your car inspected in a small town and they dont do the emissions testing, just safety checks
