pardon my ignorance, but what exactly does pinging sound like? I just got an xcal 2 with an 87 and a 93 octane tune. I filled up with 93 last time and installed that tune. After installing the tune I noticed something I didn't notice before, but I am not sure if it is pinging or not. If I shift into a lower gear than I need to, such as putting it in third when I am not going fast enough and should have put it in second, I get a much more blatant "stalling" sound than I used to get. The car doesn't bog down, but the sound under the hood is a low rumble that sounds like someone trying to start a car moving in third gear from a dead stop. Also, when I floored the car in first I heard a sound similar, but not exactly the same. Is this pinging or something else? Thanks in advance.
