Default tail light tint

i talked to a guy on another forum and he said that he put window tint on his tail light. would this be a good idea? he said he got the tint from walmart and it is the cling stuff and he said it is really thick. how hard would this be to put on? would i have to take the tail light bezel (painted piece) thing off to do the entire tail light?
thanks

There is tint made specifically for tail lights that you can apply easily. I got mine from eBay and all you have to do is wet the tail light to apply it. It's fairly thick plastic and easy to put on or take off if needed.

Eh, seems like it would work... But the problem with 96-98 tail lights are that they are so curved it is hard to make the tint follow along. Many people have gotten around to using a can of VHT nightshades to actually darken them..

BAN THIS MAN!!! j/k
Ever since I've seen the brake lights tinted I keep kicking myself in the rear for not doing it yet. I think it looks awesome, and I should put it on the to do list for this weekend finally. Especially since my third brake light is oxidized and I definitely dont want to spend the money on a new one.
