Default F the local exhaust laws....

ok, so the cops have been ticketing everyone here in my area of virginia lately for "illegal exhaust" and other things. even domestic guys are getting pulled.

I have LT headers, o/r x and 2 chamber flows, so naturally i'd be concerned right?

WRONG. I came up with a simple solution, swap my 2 chamber 40's for single chamber 10's, making my car even louder!![sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif]

i will post up a vid after my new manifold and dynotune are done.

cops in NY will pull some cars over....mostly just the honda group that thinks they have to rev it to 7 grand before they shift. I've never been so I'm not sure what the fine is. If you just drive they don't seem to bother you too much.

i have a feeling im gonna be breaking sound ordances with my blower. that **** is loud. ive never been bothered about my exhaust though, it seems the ricers get nailed all the time though. i think nh doesnt have a law against aftermarket exhausts but you cant have straight through mufflers and it cant be over a certain decibel level.

In virginia all non-stock exhausts are illegal, FYI.

I dont get it. You want to deserve it??? If that is what y ou want, then that is what you want. IN my area, only imports or regular cars that try to race get pulled over. IMO if you are not acting like a jackass, you will be fine.

When you do get pulled over, and the cop asks you if you knew why he pulled you over, respond as followed:

"I'm sorry officer, I can't hear you do to my loss of hearing"

-That does suck man. Move up here to stark county ohio. Cops don't give a poo around here. As long as your not street racing, or burning out, they'll let you go.

Yeah Eff them. I got pulled over in my old truck. 1983 Chevy C10. It had Headers, High-Flow cats, and no mufflers. the a$$-h... um, officer said it was louder than stock. In court, I made the claim that I had no idea what a 1983 truck sounded like stock since I was born in 1986. They still got court costs of $80 out of me, which beat the $200 something fine. I probably could have fought it further. But does it really matter what your vehicle sounds like. I mean what is the big deal. Cops need to worry about rapists, armed robbers, and donuts. Not what a car sounds like.
