Where to place jack stands on a 99-04 mustang?

Default Where to place jack stands on a 99-04 mustang?

Were do I put the jacks stands on a 99-04 mustang . Are they placed on the frame or the joints of the k-member?

I place my jack stands on the frame of the car to help support it. I would not put it on any joints as joints are weak points in a structure for the most part.

my haynes manual said to jack it up near the sideskirts, where they attach to the frame or whatever. yeah that turned out real great, warped the **** out of where my sideskirts connect to the car. thank you haynes. i just find actual parts of the frame now, hard to miss if you look under there.

there's not even close to enough room in the "cutout" to get a jack and jackstands.

agreed. That indentation is too small which is why I just find the frame
