I just wanted to know how you guys keep missing gears? the only time i could ever see is is when ur comming out of 4th and into 5th, ive done it twice with no harm(was only moving at about 45) and went into 3rd by accident.

They aren't missing gears... They are skipping, instead of going through all the gears they are selecting the ones they wish to put the car in.

sometimes because i am lazy, but most of the time when just crusing around town you dont need all 5 gears, esp 1st if your not going up a hill of some sort.

Very rarely do I skip gears. About the only time I do is if someone calls while im driving.


but it doesnt hurt it anything to skip gears. Skip 1st, and sometimes 4th

if its flat yeah, i dont do it all the time, just sometimes. works like a champ.

I like to skip 2nd sometimes, and 3rd the most. I only do it when I get on it real quick, and don't want the rpms to stay at 5k plus.

If you have 4.10 gears you can take off in 2nd with no problems. 1st is like a granny gear in my car now.

hell i have 3.27s(stock) and i take off in 2nd all the time... lol ive even taken off ini 3rd and 4th(by accident) before... lol but nonthe less ive done it...

but i usually dont skip gears.. but thats cuz i dont drive my car that often.. o well...

In my truck I start in second and sometimes only use odd gears because of objects or people in the middle of the seat. In my car I bog down if I start in second unless if it is raning, snow, ice, etc (I'm sure its just my driving) as for skipping in my car only while down shifting or if I'm in pain. I fought to try and find a 5-speed mustang just to shift.
