Even in Miami (HOT) mine tends to hang around 1300 or so when first started.
Then down to 1000 or so 20 seconds to a minute later.
After its warm, which does not take long, it would settle down to 700- 750 or so.
Now that I have the accufab stuff, it settles down to about 600 - 650.

I start up, warm or cold around 1K..
and it usually settles right at 500-600,, a tad low, but nothing alarming
(occaisionaly while im driving though, it'll want to hang around 1000 and not drop down, if im at a stop light or something, but later it'll drop again like normal)
