Default mm strut tower brace

Just finished installing a mm strut tower brace. Install was a total PITA, but well worth it. took about 5 hours, but the front end of the car feels soooo much tighter now. its great. made me realize how crappy the rest feels. I think I gotta do full length sfc's now, lol.

On a side note. I took the stock intake off to do the drilling and notices a large indent in the bottom of it near the throttle body (thing is heavy too). Do all aftermarket intakes have that indent as well? Thats gotta interrupt the air flow along with the other bends in the tube.

Yea, I did not like that big indent either, thats why I replaced mine, I just made my own cheap CAI, I bought the upper tube in the classified section of the forum for cheap money, put in a K&N, cut the airbox, and Ta-Da, el cheapo cold air intake, , and I don't care what anyone says, it looks a lot better than stock and is bound to flow much better.

On my 98 the MM strut tower brace made it really hard to hook a fuel pressure guage and also nicely blocks my oil fill cap to any but the smallest funnel.
Other than that I love the thing. It is very beefy and really made a big difference in my convertible.

Thats what I noticed/liked too, it is beefy. I should have mentioned i had to cut a piece of the fuse box cover out to get in in. Otherwise no other mods. Im just questioning whether or not id be able to fit an aftermarket cai in there. It looks REALLY tight.
