'99 T45 tranny grinding sound question.....
Recently i've been getting a what sounds like a gear on gear ginding noise while in gear and at slower speeds from the T45 in my 99GT. The car has 86K on the odometer. To generalize the conditions in which it happens, it's when i'm at a constant slow speed in a higher gear than I should be (for instance, 20MPH in 3rd or 4th) and I go to accelerate. It also happens when I start out in first gear and I let the clutch out too fast and don't give it enough gas fast enough to keep the RPM's up. The noise also lasts for only a second, until the RPM's get up around 1200 or so and the clutch is all the way out. Almost as if it happens only when i'm putting a strain on the tranny. I don't get the noise when i'm driving/accelarating at speed, the tranny shifts just fine, doesn't grind into any gears and I have no problems downshifting or anything else out of the ordinary. Anyone have any ideas?

Id love to know too. I have the same exact problem and its only getting worse. Grinds like a mother at really low speed/rpm when I begin to accelerate. No problems at all at anything above 1200 rpm...If you figure it out post please...

synchros give you problems when going into or out of gear. Have you been up on the fluid changes?
I'm not quite sure what it could be... sounds like something internal
