Default Torque boxes

In a 4.6 with something just about 400 HP should we weld the torque boxes? I know a friend that had a 5.0 that told me to do this before I get a supercharger.

from what ive seen its just a plate that goes over the box that you weld on there... its supposed to help alot. I know one person on here has his full suspension and torque boxs welded and he runs great at the track.

You could have 800hp and not need to weld or reinforce the torque boxes....but If you are running over 300 at the wheels and Sticky tires then it is a good idea. if you have stock suspension and tires don't worry about it. However as soon as you put on drag radials and upgrade your control arms/bushings to poly or spherical then I would get them welded.
