Default torque boxes and subframes

i have had my torque boxes and subframe connectors for a while now. i need to find a shop to have them welded in. if anyone knows of a place in NJ please notify me. i checked with wild rides racing and got the highest quote ive ever heard. around $1000.00 for both things. i also check with xtremeracing.com and they quoted me $350 for both. i just wanted to find out if anyone else knows. ty

Just about any exhaust shop should be able to do it fairly cheap, it should be mig welded in and that is what most exhaust shops use to weld there pipe.

i got the torque box plates, subframes and seat brackets all welded on for $150 from a shop in burbank, ca. i'd expect so.cal prices to be on par with other big city prices. i've seen lots of posts on these boards for even cheaper than that.

Are the torque boxes the ones found on convertibles, and mounted on the rear? I don't believe there are any made for the front, at least in the sense like the one's I welded in on my '70 Mach, that detailed whole front/mid destruction and took 20 hr's per side. Just curious,
John
