I am going to ditch my stock cobra rims for a different rim. If anyone knows the max width rim I can get and also include the offset. I want 17's front and rear, but the fronts less wide. I am lowered about an 1" and have the stock brakes and calipers. Its a 96 cobra, not gt.

 

I'm almost sure you can go 10.5in. wide on the back and 9in. in the front
I'm not sure of the offset, but if you wanted to go wider
you can always shim the rims up to 3/8.
If your getting other wheels make sure you get aluminum.
The lighter wheel saves your suspension and gives you a better ride
