Default A question about Top End

I know the gears thing has been beaten to death but I don't think this actual specific question has. So here it is. Many of you want to get 4.10 gears but are afraid of how much it will take away from top end power. (not top speed) My question is, around what speed will your top end power start to be "taken away"? Anything less then/under 100mph and i'm going with 3.90 myself.

teh gears won't take away your top end at all. your top end is limited by your horsepower. the drag at 150mph+ is too much for your motor to overcome because it lacks the power, not the rpms.

thats right. my cobra with 4.10's tachs 4 grand at 110mph so thats right in your power band. Stick with the 4.10's!

So what if it's like 255hp then as to the 225hp stock. Will that make up for the 3.27 to 4.10 difference?

not only will it have the top end, it will be quicker through the gears and thats where your acceleration will improve. Also, it depends on what brand your looking for, the 4.10's are more popular so you have more than just the motive gears to decide from. Good luck with w/e you decide, you really cant go wrong with either.
