Default 3.73's

Do 3.73's lower your top end speed? And with them can you take long drives or will you redline in 5th?

So i was on mustang tuning . com and i saw that there are two options, either the 7.5 inch or 8.8 inch rear end, im assuming the 98 GT is 8.8 rear end?

not sure if you would have the power to redline the 373s in 5th, maybe with the 125 shot. redline 373s in 5th will be what, 150ish or so?

Yes, GT's have 8.8 rearends. Redline 5th....where are you going to drive 150 mph anyway? If you fart the wrong way at that speed you're dead!

with 3.73s and a T-45 you will be at the 6000 rpm redline for a 5 speed at 183.4 mph[&:], 4.10s will be 166 mph, JUST GO WITH THE 4.10s!
