I have heard from a lot of people that they lose torque and hp down low after a header install (me being one of them with shorties). Get a bigger throttle body and plenum with gears to help compensate for down low. You will feel the hp up top big time with LT headers. A good tune will definitely help too. Hope this helps a little.

Even though I didn't notice this problem, I have heard many people say this. But, he was saying when he shifted from 1st to 2nd while at WOT it was bogging down, and if he is at WOT he shouldn'y be anywhere near the low end of the RPM band where torque is lost.

dragon02gt....thank you very much for your replies. Let me list my whole setup in case that helps and then ill explain my problem.

99GT 35k miles
Mac air intake
flowmaster cat back
mac LT headers and H pipe
Tri ax shifter
strut tower brace and subframe connectors
eibach lowering springs
Predator Tuner

The second i rolled my car outta my garage after doing the headers and h pipe i noticed the throttle response was not as crisp. It seemed to rev up differently. After driving it for a couple of days it seemed like it improved a little (computer made adjustments i guess?). This is with the base predator tune (no modifications). My friend wanted to see me take off so i slammed first and revved to about 5k and pulled second the way i normally would. Instead of me feeling the drivetrain slam me forward, second gear kinda dogged for a second or two and then started to pull decently. My friend noted that he saw a puff of black smoke when i pulled second. When i am at WOT, my a/f gauge says im rich. Im running shell V-power gas. I know adjustments need to be made, i just wanna make sure im not hurting my car in the process or just bandaging the real problem.

Also, i noticed my car seems to crank more before it starts when the motor is cold such as in the morning. Its a noticeable difference. any idea what thats about? thanks for all the help.
