Default MAF positioning

Alright for a long time I have been dealing with stalling issues I know its not the IAC. The RPMS would bounce around when ever I was on some sort of uneven surface or driving in reverse up a slope. Sometimes the car would stall sometimes it works just fine. Well I was watching horsepower TV today and they were installing a cold air intake on a 94 5.0 mustang and one of the hosts stated something about insuring the MAF was on top. Well that got my gears running and I went outside to check on my car. I inadverntly placed my MAF on the right side close to the engine when I installed my CAI....so my question is would my symptoms match the fact my MAF is in the wrong spot of the cai?

take it off and clean the two little needles with electrolite(sp) cleaner. It will help alot just put some of the spray on a cue tip wipe it all over the needles you will c a good amount of black stuff on it.Since you have cai with a aftermarket filter. Its oiled so it gets the oil on that and gives the maf sensor inaccurate readings.

I hate to bring this back from the dead, but I do have the solution to this problem, I had to replace every freakin cracked hose under the hood and corrected the stalling issue.

I hope it didn't take 5 1/2 years to fix it
