Default Plug wires

I've seen some discussion around this. I don't know the benefits of just adding 9mm Ford racing wires. Can anyone explain? Also do you need to buy a higher powered ignition system with it? This is an area I have always been confused about. Also I have a 2003 GT, would it benefit me?
Thanks ahead of time!

Consider yourself lucky, you don't have plug wires .99-up uses coil on plug ignition so wires are not an issue.

The 99+ GT dont have a mechanical distributor like old cars, they actually have a computer that sends the spark to each plug at the right time. I have never seen any aftermarket wires for any 99+GT. however I have seen something called a "plasma Booster" that is supposed to improve the spark in each plug (i dont know exactly how it works)....
If you had for example a 92GT (5.0) and you install better plug wires, you will get maybe 1hp or 2 because the electricity will flow a little better from the distributor to the plug, if you replace the Ignition you would get a more powerfull spark and also better response at high rpm... hope it helps..
