Default Strange Tire Question.......

Hey guys.......I was wondering something.........Whenever I get on it at little bit, my tires don't really scream......I just feel my wheels spin......Just the other night, some kid in a ricer wanted me to get on it and squeal my tires but they didn't......I just felt them spin......Is it because of the kind of rubber it is? I'm running Kuhmo Ecsta 712's.........Every now and then they've started sqealing a little but for the most part, they don't.............Sometimes it feels kinda weird......Sometimes when I get on it, it will feel like the tires are spinning but I can hear them.......There wouldn't be a problem in the rear end like the torque converter, would there.......I'm still kind of a newbie........Also, at what rpm's is best to drop the clutch for a good sqeal??? Any ideas???

you waant them just to squeal? or squeal all the time while doing the burnout? you shouldnt have a hard time doing a burnout in a stock gt.

no, my tires spin quite a bit too, and dont make noise. its just the road surface/ tire compound together. it doesnt happen on every road with every tire. your fine, so is the car. IMO the loud screech is annoying and attracts unwanted police attention. my tires barely do it sometimes, other times its no sound jsut smoke and fun. but i assure you, the car has no problem leaving rubber on pavement.

main thing is the pavement.... if you burnout on fairly new asphalt i dont care what your tires are made of they will squeal... if you burnout on old asphalt that has already turned grey alot of times you will just spin... concrete is good for squealing also...

i would guess it has to do with the tire compound just as much as the road surface..

but i konw what youre talking about, you can feel the rear end spinnign pretty good, but there is little to no sound....

im pretty sure my burnout at the track with the MT DR's made little to no sound even after smoking a tiny bit..

jonbeast has a NICE video of a sweet sounding burnout in his GT,,
its the kind of burnout i'd love to do if i had a nice camera
