The June 2006 Issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords has a great article on this, I can't find a link to it but I highly suggest you pick it up if you are concerned about voiding your warranty doing mods :

Will a short throw shifter void a warranty?
The dealership can void warranties on the tranny and drivetrain for a short throw. You can fight it if they void like the ac or electrical system or something that has nothing to do with it.

no as a matter of fact is better for your tranny cuz they have shift stops nad most of them help you not to miss shifts

I find that the people who work at dealerships are full of ****. One of the dealership morons around here told me that the intake manifold recall was only for crown vics and not mustangs. I told him they were the same engines and I said that I read the recall information and he would deny me any warranty services. Where do they get these f*cking people?

Oh yeah I saw something about the warranty thing on the MM&FF magazine I bought last month. Is it the one with the white mustang with blue flames on the cover?
