96 gt rear end + compression
ok guys, i had one of my friends ask me what i had on my car for the rear end, i have no idea what he was talking about, im starting to learn more and more about my car, but what kind of rear end on my car do i have, and what should b the compression on my engine, it is completely stock, i had my friend do a cpmression test and i htink it said 26, i think, but is that good? i dont have any place around by me that does compression tests so ihave to rely on my friends in autos class to do it, thanx much

Ok well first you have an ford 8.8 inch rear end with maybe 3.27s or 2.73s not sure on that as there are many that can be in their and you probly have a traction lock (limited slip) differential. As for compression each cilinder should be around 120 psi i hope you dont have 26 psi maybe 126 witch is good. BTW how many miles do you have?

i just hit 76000 on it last week, im the second driver of the vehicle and it was babied by an older couple before i had it, and it still is being babied , and thanx man
